Equine Marketplace AU
Terms & conditions
Clear expectations for using Equine Marketplace AU.
Draft for owner review · Updated 28 October 2026. Operator details and a working support address must be confirmed before these policies are finalised.
The marketplace’s role
Equine Marketplace AU is a listing and messaging platform, not the seller, service provider, payment intermediary or delivery agent for transactions between users. The operator’s legal identity and business details must be confirmed before these terms are finalised.
Accounts and listings
- Keep your account secure and provide accurate information. Do not impersonate another person.
- Only advertise lawful equine goods or services you are entitled to sell or provide. Use photos and content you own or have permission to use.
- Describe goods honestly and disclose known faults. Service providers must accurately state their qualifications, registrations, insurance, service area and any relevant restrictions.
- No scams, stolen goods, unlawful services, misleading claims, abusive content or harassment. A business must use the business ad option rather than misrepresenting itself as a private seller.
Arranging a purchase or service
Users agree the price, condition, scope, payment method, delivery, appointments, cancellations and refunds directly. Check identity, ownership and relevant qualifications before committing. The platform does not guarantee listings, vet providers, hold sale proceeds, insure a transaction or reimburse losses on goods or services.
Advertising prices
All stated prices are in AUD. Searching, accounts, messages and standard private ads with two photos are free. Business posting is A$1 per ad or A$5 per week for up to five ads. The weekly plan renews until cancelled; cancellation preserves access until the paid period ends. An advertised extra-photo purchase is A$3; check that the photo-upgrade option is available for your ad before purchasing.
Featured placement is optional: A$5 Featured, A$10 Priority or A$20 Top, each for seven days after payment confirmation. Paid tiers rank Top, Priority, Featured, then unboosted business and private ads; newest ads come first within each group. These are shared tiers, not reserved numbered positions, and do not guarantee views, enquiries, sales or search-engine ranking. A boost is not a weekly subscription. Active boosts cannot be changed through the current selection screen; standard placement resumes on expiry.
Advertising payments and problems
Stripe handles payments for platform advertising only, not purchases between users. Check the total and any test-mode notice before paying. If an advertising charge is duplicated or paid placement is not delivered, retain the receipt and ad link and contact the operator when the working support address is confirmed. Refund requests are assessed against the service delivered and applicable law; this draft does not remove rights to a remedy for services not supplied.
Safety, moderation and availability
The operator may investigate reported misuse and restrict or remove unlawful or misleading content where warranted. The app does not currently provide an in-app report or block control, automatic dispute resolution, or guaranteed response times. Availability and message delivery cannot be guaranteed.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law. Rights against a business seller or service provider differ from rights in a private sale. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, seek guidance from your state or territory consumer affairs agency or independent legal advice.
